To my family in Aglow Prison Ministry:
Your loving cards, words of love and prayers “wrapped me tightly” in Jesus. I bless you today with a special “New Year Word” from an old Devotional of mine:
When you see the ark…then you shall remove from your place, and go after it…that you may know the way by which you must go; for you have not passed this way before.” –Joshua 3:3-4
“Unknown territory always brings a mixture of emotions. There is excitement but fearfulness too. So it must have been for the Israelites. But as they faced this daunting venture, they were told to keep their eyes on the ark & when it moved, they were to follow. We too, are entering unfamiliar territory as we start into a New Year. It is exciting but intimidating. By keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus and following His Word, we can navigate the unknown circumstances that lie ahead.”
For the past two months, I have held on to the Promises of God unlike any time since beginning of prison ministry! I felt the sweet presence of Jesus holding my hand as Isaiah 43:2 says He will. He has taken me safely through deep waters of pain, hospital days and recovery during the Christmas season. His Word gave me peace…
”Do Not limit My plans for you. This is only transition.”
Perhaps YOU too, are waiting for an answer… 2016 may be “the year”! Let us TRUST God’s plan in our lives. What the enemy means for evil, we can DECLARE that God will turn it into good. It will be a HAPPY NEW YEAR!
ROMANS 8:28 “And we KNOW that ALL things WORK TOGETHER for good to them that love God; to them who are the called according to His purpose.”
With praises and hugs!
