While PRAYING this month, God gave me a fresh revelation of an old truth. May it inspire you to apply it to your own life today.
I Timothy 1:18: “This charge I commit unto thee son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before, that thou BY THEM might WAR a good warfare.”
Paul reminded Timothy of God’s Words and Promises that had been spoken over him, and He instructed Timothy to ‘fight for them’ to come to pass!
I began to thank God for several ‘Promises & Words’ God has given me in my life. One especially is Exodus 23:26b “I will fulfill the number of your days.” I had felt HE would keep me ‘on my feet’ UNTIL He took me Home! However, for some time now I have not been able to walk without pain. Suddenly I heard: “Whose report will you believe?”
The Doctor had just given a report to my Physical Therapist: my back bones are “degenerated, fused together; right hip is bone-on-bone with no pads (cartilage) plus severe arthritis and neuropathy.” (My fingers are numb, but I still play piano.)
I have lived many years often saying: “I will believe the REPORT of the LORD!”
So I prayed, “Lord, no matter WHAT the Doctor said, YOU made my body & YOU promised strength for EACH DAY. I will NOT allow the enemy to steal my Word and Promises. They are YOUR REPORT. I CHOOSE to trust YOU and keep going!”
Then God reminded me of my favorite example of Joseph in PSALM 105:19 Contemporary English Version Joseph remained a slave until his own words had come true, and the Lord had finished testing him.
The enemy tried to cause Joseph to DOUBT God’s Word through circumstances. Doubt could stop Joseph from reaching ‘God’s destiny’ for his life. Psalm 105:18 Young’s Literal Translation They have afflicted with fetters his feet, Iron hath entered his soul…
Well, I got it! I prayed for the Holy Spirit to put ‘Iron’ into my heart & emotions! The Doctor’s report may not change, but the awful pain of one year is nearly gone…and I’m driving the one-hour trip to see my Temecula family again!
I pray Holy Spirit-Iron enters into you as you receive “fresh revelations” of truth!
