Did YOU write some fresh ideas last month? Do not be afraid to start! God plans to help us do them.
Philippians 4:13 NLT For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.
When the Holy Spirit came into our life at Salvation, He brought Gifts with Him that we can use in our DAILY living.
1 Corinthians 12:4 NLT There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but the same Spirit is the source of them all.
God created us, filled us with His power, and released us to “go and do good”…just like Jesus.
Luke 4:18 (also Isaiah 61:1) “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He hath anointed Me to preach the Gospel to the poor; He hath sent Me to heal the broken hearted, to preach deliverance to the captive, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised.”
We learn to activate HIS gifts by praying-in-the-Spirit, filling our mind with God’s WORD, and staying closely to Jesus. Study these Gifts in 1 Corinthians 12 & 14. For better understanding, they are divided into Groups. God often uses the Revelation and Inspirational Gifts in our daily life. Read how they work in the exciting examples of Acts. We need to be ready to help people in OUR day.
Luke 10: 36-37 NLT 36 “Now which of these three would you say was a neighbor to the man who was attacked by bandits?” Jesus asked. 37 The man replied, “The one who showed him mercy.” Then Jesus said, “Yes, now go and do the same.”
Learn to ask the Holy Spirit to show you “how to pray” for a needy person. If He brings a Scripture to your mind, pray it aloud. It may be just what they needed that day! This is a simple example of “mind gifts”.
I treasure Jack Hayford’s quote explaining the Gift of Prophesy:
“To prophesy is to speak aloud the potential of a thing.”
We can all do that!
