One of the BEST lessons I’ve learned on my ‘Journey with Jesus’ is the POWER of GOD’S WORD. Specific scriptures were ‘lifelines’ to keep me from drowning in fear and self-pity. As I daily thanked Him and quoted His WORDS, I discovered I was actually ‘praying’ for those promises to come to pass…and I saw MIRACLES! 
Here is my secret of a happy life.
Learn to SPEAK GOD’S WORD…aloud daily!

“Thank you Lord, that You forgive my sins, and heal my diseases. I thank you for crowning me with tender mercies and loving kindness. I will fill my mouth with good things (God’s Word, healthy food) so my youth is continually ‘renewed as the eagles.’”

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.
“Help me, Jesus, to guard my thoughts today. I CHOOSE to keep the past behind me. I give my hurts, mistakes & sad memories to You. I will try to ‘speak NO more’ of them. Cover my mind with the Blood, and restore Your joy!”

“Thank you, God , that Your plans for my life are good , not evil. I trust YOU will bring me to Your ‘expected end’ and fulfill Your destiny for me.”
Read aloud Colossians 3:23,24
23 And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, 24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.
“Here I am, Lord. Help me to focus on ‘Your assignments’ for me and help me to please You in everything. Remind me that whatsoever I do for others, I should do it as UNTO YOU. My rewards will come from You…NOT people.”
Read aloud Matthew the 6th chapter. Matthew 6:23 Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.
“I will do my best to put YOU FIRST today, and I will expect YOU to fulfill YOUR PROMISES to me.”
Watch your thoughts…they become WORDS.
Watch your words…they become ACTIONS.
Watch your actions…they become HABITS…habits become CHARACTER.
Watch your character…for it becomes your DESTINY.
DESTINY is defined as ‘moving towards a purposed end.’
