Many of you know that I love to speak and pray God’s Word over people and situations. I have lived and taught this truth more than 30 years. It has often helped me overcome discouragement. I also benefit by reading Psalms and those wonderful Bible stories how people encouraged themselves “in-the-Lord”.
This year 2020, the enemy brought a huge SUDDENLY into our lives…THE MASK. Some people may adjust easily, but others may experience discouragement by being forced to wear one. Now when I go to the Bank, Grocery & Retail stores, or Church, or dine-out, my soul and spirit seem to “change”, and my JOY disappears!
I really complained to everyone! Finally, I asked the Lord to help me. Yesterday I drove to the store, got out of my car, put on THE MASK and began pushing a shopping cart. After walking down a few grocery aisles, I realized I was softly “whispering” prayers under my MASK…for the clerks and people I passed. I even prayed awhile in-the-spirit before entering the Check-Out Counter. I realized that the MASK only “moved” a little bit…as when I breathed. No one even knew I was praying aloud! When I got to my car and removed the MASK, I sat and laughed!!! I had been an “Undercover Agent” in-the-spirit realm…at the grocery store!
After returning home, the Lord reminded me of a Spiritual Truth. The Enemy of our soul always tries to isolate us and make us feel alone. He STEALS OUR JOY! The MASK hides our smiles, confuses or prevents normal conversations, and can make us became discouraged and weak. Now I have decided to live through this difficult season being strong in the Lord, and filled with HIS JOY!!!
Therefore…I choose to use THE MASK as a Spiritual Assignment! How about you?
