Purpose, Vision and God’s Timing April 2017

Jeremiah 29:11  “For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord…”

PURPOSE:  The original “intent” for the creation of a thing…in the mind of the Creator.  No matter how we may have delayed His plans for our lives, it is NEVER too late for God to re-work the plan.  He is the Master Potter, and we are the clay. We must allow Him to mold us into His vessel.  The gifts He placed within us may have been dormant until now, but He can anoint & use them in new ways to fit our circumstance today.

The KEY is to find the “purpose” that YOU were made to do in life. You came to “finish” God’s purpose. Remember His plans will always involve “others” because He is interested in eternal souls. He wants a family to live with Him throughout eternity.  YOU are a chosen part of His wonderful eternal plan!

GODS TIMING: Ecclesiastes 3:1 “To everything there is a season and a time for every purpose under heaven.”

God gives you your life’s work and also gives you just enough time to do it. The length of your life’s candle is measured out according to the length of His assignments for you.  Do not be in too great a hurry.

God has prepared the steps along which you must travel, but you must WAIT on His timing. He can mature events with marvelous rapidity, and you will find that He will “perfect” that which concerns you. Do not be impatient.

Trials, difficulties, and sorrows have their seasons and then they pass. It is not always Winter, and God will put bright and beautiful things into our lives which we need not be afraid to enjoy. Sometimes we strain our eyes so hard on a distant spot of the horizon that we miss the lovely flowers God places along our path. God is in it all…find Him there! Do not be cast down.

God never forgets a promise.  He allows life to have its seasons. It is His plan and His time. Our ‘DIS-appointments’ often turn out to be God’s planned appointments! When going through a long season of waiting, it is wise to ask God these questions:  “What am I supposed to LEARN here?  What do YOU have for me here?”

Isaiah 30:18  “Therefore will the Lord wait, that He may be gracious unto you, and therefore will He be exalted that He may have mercy upon you;  for the Lord is a God of judgment; blessed are all those that WAIT for Him.”

Sometimes we misinterpret God’s dealings with us.  God’s delays are not denials.    God WAITED at Jabbok-ford until Jacob was completely exhausted and blessed him. When God does NOT come as we plead “Come save Lazarus”, we feel He is neglectful. Actually, He is waiting UNTIL we come to the end of ourselves, and the way is clear for Him to work a greater miracle than we hoped.  Let’s trust Him!
